On 1 June 2017 the newly elected board of the CCMN – Cameroon Community Media Network visited the Communication Delegate of the South West Region in Cameroon.
The President of the CCMN, Rev Geraldine Fobang, emphasized the importance of community media in the Cameroonian media landscape as mediators, dialogue and exchange platform for local communities and vulnerable groups. Community media especially play a crucial role in conflict situations and highlighted the role of the CCMN to promote conflict-sensitive journalism and peace reporting in Cameroon.
