
[CCMN SW/Littoral] Network Meeting #15: Conflict Analysis, Archiving and Programme Production
On 7 December 2018 the 15 CCMN SW/Littoral Network Meeting took place in Buea.
PRESS RELEASE: CCMN member Ambe Macmillian Awa released
The CCMN – Cameroon Community Media Network can now confirm that one of its members, journalist Ambe Macmillian Awawho was abducted on Thursday February 21 2019 in Bamenda, has been released.
He was picked up by alleged separatists fighters in one of the neighborhoods of Bamenda Chief town of the restive Anglophone North West Regions of Cameroon. Since the request for a greater autonomy by English speaking Cameroonian turned violent, journalists in these regions have come under attack from both belligerents of the struggle.
CCMN is appealing to all parties involved to allow journalists exercise their duties as touch bearers of the society.
