The first time the Community Media Network met outside of Buea. Lake Site Radio and its Station Manager Sir Nyambot took over the responsibility to host the meeting taking place on the 13 July 2016 in the premises of Lake Site Radio.
This meeting continued with the discussion on the role of community media and media in general in conflict situations and how peace journalism and conflict-sensitive reporting can be adopted in the Cameroonian media landscape.
Alexander Vojvoda, Community Manager of CBS Radio in Buea, and the Divisional Delegate for Communication in Kumba, emphasized in their key notes the importance of community media as sources of information for the local population and the role they can play in dialogue and exchange between different communities.
